Ryan Moore: Now Part Owner of Scratch Golf

Postby Kyle on Thu Nov 05, 2009 2:34 pm

As we've partially discussed around here, local boy Ryan Moore is a fan of doing things his own way. As it turns out, he's taking another interesting step in his golfing career by quickly going from no-sponsor-magee to business man and part owner extraordinaire. Moore took a shining to what the fine folks over at Scratch Golf are selling, and not only did he decide that yeah, he might re-think this whole sponsorship thing, but why not become part owner of the whole she-bang? As part owner and lone staff professional of the company that he owns, Moore is putting his money directly where his mouth is and doubling down on his own PGA success. These Scratch dealies have quit a cult following here and there, and no doubt make very fine looking, super clean, pure custom clubs for golfing with. I don't know if there is a more appropriate match on Tour than Moore and Scratch. Also, scope the new hat. Sick! And is than an American Eagle shirt? I'm all for bringing back the 2002 preppy styling and reclaiming it for the weirdos.

The hat makes him look like he is headed to a Raiders game or an L.A. Kings game. I think it looks awful on him.

Scratch wedges are AWESOME. There is nothing that looks that clean around. If you have the means Kyle, the truly custom stuff they do is well worth it.......if you have the means.

I do not ha ha.

Haha no dice on the hat? I'm into it! But I guess the TV announcers were a bit puzzled this weekend, calling it a SF Giants hat a few times before eventually figuring things out later in the tournament. And yeah, I have to agree that the Scratch stuff is looking quite very nice beautiful indeed.
