Golf courses in Vegas

I lived in Vegas for 5 years. Let me give you a local view of the courses to bang it in sin city.

If you want to roll hard and look like a million bucks, really WOW your buddies, and don't care about cost, check out;

1) Shadow Creek (You have to stay in a property to play here as well as pay the green fee. Always in the top 10 golf courses in America)

2) Cascata (You have to stay in a property again, this one has a 140 foot waterfall that ends up running through the clubhouse, you have to see it to believe it)

3) Bali Hai (Right on the strip, it makes you feel like you are near the beaches of Polynesia)

4) Rio Secco (TIger Woods practiced here when he had Butch Harmon on staff. Butch is still there and you might get to see Natalie Gulbis if you pick the right day :D )

5) Reflection Bay (Jack Nicklaus designed this beauty. On the man-made Lake Las Vegas, it is a beauty)

6) Bear's Best (Another Jack Nicklaus, this one incorporates a number of his best holes from the West Coast courses he has designed)

If you are anything like me, you are looking for the best courses for the best value. Here they are;

1) Boulder Creek (My favorite course in Vegas by FAR! 27 holes and 3 vastly different nines, if the wind blows, the most difficult course around)

2) The Revere (Lexington is my favorite, but the Concord is fun too. Revere has the best food for an after round lunch or dinner)

3) Sienna (Summerlin's hidden gem. The clubhouse takes you to Italy and the golf course is as fun as they get)

4) Primm Resorts (I prefer the Lakes for aesthetics and the Desert for a true golf test)

5) Tuscany (Another hidden gem......on the way to Lake Las Vegas)

I love playing golf in Vegas. I travel back a couple times a year to visit friends and feed the addiction in the winter months. I would never go and NOT play Boulder Creek, unless they told me I couldn't. If I could choose 3 to play and money were no object, it is Boulder, Shadow Creek, and Rio Secco (I had my first hole in one at Rio and it holds a special place in my heart for me).

I have played both Bali Hai and The Revere, and the courses at Primm. All of them are awesome. Don't forget about Royal Links and the Badlands. Maybe take a trip out to Mesquite and try those courses as well. Lots of great golf and good times in Vegas. Going at the end of the month as well Alan.

I liked Paiute, the problem I had with Paiute is that with 3 courses out there, they all looked the same. I have no idea, to this day, which course is which.

Good condition and they all play well, but I played them 20 or so times each and could still not tell you what #1 on any of the courses looks like.

If I am going to drive that far from the strip I will take Primm.

Can't go wrong in Primm. Both of the courses at Primm Valley were great.

I am so excited to announce that I myself am heading down to V-town mid March!! So Tom, guru of all golfing in Vegas, where can a girl like me go knock some balls around? I don't want to spend a ton. I don't want to have to drive far if at all. Be my magic 8-ball :lol:
