Callaway FT-Ibrid irons

Postby im4golf on Sun Jul 12, 2009 3:36 pm

I now have a four year old set of Adams irons and considering replacing them. Callaway is offering the new FT-IQ driver with 7 FT or FT-Ibrid irons. I am considering the purchase of the FT-Ibrids and would like a response from anyone who has them, of course either positive or negative. I will also replace my Callaway FT-5 driver with the new FT-IQ.

im4golf,

I have to preface what I say with the fact that I do not own either the FT or the FT-ibrid sets.

That being said, I have hit the FT irons as a good friend of mine (a pro in the Portland area) has the FT irons. They are very solid feeling and tend to have a higher ball flight, which I liked. He really likes that too since he hits the ball about knee high most times (sorry Brad ha ha).

I would suggest demoing them to see how they react to your swing and solicit as much experience as you can from those that have played them.

Good luck and hit em well!

By the way..........the FT-IQ driver is amazing. I have hit it with a few different shafts and am very impressed.
