I guess I’m just to much of a pureist to get the concept of an adjustable driver or fairway wood. I’ve hit several of these clubs(and am a die hard Taylormade fan) but feel like I give up to much of my ability to work the ball right-to-left and vice versa witht hese clubs.

BTW, you all have a great service, I really like the free shiiping and no tax.

Bill,

While there is no exact correlation between a 10g heavier shaft and a gain/loss of 10 yards, the principles are the same. If you have a heavier golf club, you will swing it slower than a lighter one. So there will be some distance gain/loss from changing weight of shaft.

Most of your higher swing speed/lower handicap players play heavier shafts to give them more consistency or better accuracy. They allow their natural ability to move the club at higher speeds to provide the distance. But if a high swing speed player were to go lighter in their equipment, he/she would swing faster and might generate more distance.

Are you saying a 10g(for example)heavier Driver shaft will influence distance up to 10 yards? And if so, further/shorter based on which weight? It seems most of your higher ss/lower handicap players play heavier shafts & they don’t lack for distance.

Kyle, thank you for your valuable input. What you said makes sense. There actual weight difference is only like 8 grams, so I’m not sure it really makes much difference anyway! So far I am pleased to report nothing but satisfacion with this Driver/shaft, and would highly recommned it. The biggest thing I’m hoping for is less spin than my Cleveland Launcher & haven’t hit it enough to determine that just yet.

Bill, I think you’ve chosen the right shaft for sure. With that handicap you obviously have a very consistent, repeatable swing; add that to your fast SS and the lower, less twisting torque of the X70 should keep the shaft as consistent and pure as your swing.

Just taken delivery of my new 9032LS Driver, can’t wait to try it. My swing speed is 115mph/1.1 handicap so Adams recommended the VooDoo X70g/2.8 torque instead of the std X60g/3.2 torque, do you agree?

Will let you know if it knocks my tried/true Cleveland Launcher Comp out of the bag…
