Those of you that know me or have read portions of my stuff know that I have played in a variety of “conditions.” I have played
with guys that cuss and swear on every shot. I have played with guys that have broken their entire arsenal of golf clubs. I have played with guys that wear no shirt. I have even played with guys that wear no shirt and flesh colored speedos…
But there is one group of people that I am fed up with. I am ready to ban you from the game unless you change your ways…
You are the “sunflower seed guy.”

Seeing as we’ve already covered what happened last week at the US Open, I’d like to change gears slightly and get into the stuff that we all get excited about around here: the tools of the trade.

Yeah. This is the guy who denied us a potential epic playoff involving David Duval and Phil Mickelson. The Clemson Tiger was able to quietly grind through an unspectacular final round of 73 to secure a two stroke victory. As seemingly boring as this conclusion to the US Open was, Glover deserves a lot of credit for outplaying the field this week.

So I bought my Dad a push cart a couple years back. He used it for a while and then started carrying his bag again. I called him crazy for such a move, but I have not stolen that same push cart and used it myself. So how crazy am I?
I got him the Sun Mountain Speed cart for Father’s day a couple years ago, or some holiday, or just cause he is a great Dad. It now resides in his garage, unused. I think it is high time I steal that sucker and ride off down the fairway, don’t you think? Read more…

In the murky waters of Golf GPS and rangefinders, we have a million choices that all look alike. They smell alike, they all, seemingly, do the same things, and they all cost about the same. Just like MP3 players and DVD players, what is it that sets these all apart. In my opinion, up until now, nothing much. Sure, one was color and one was not. One had an activation and yearly fee and others did not. One was able to calculate distance of the shot hit and others did not.
But most of them all looked eerily like the other.
Until now……
