Is the Taylor Made R9 Recession Proof?
We thought every limit the USGA implemented had been maxed out, but did it? The head can’t be any bigger than 460cc’s, the COR can’t exceed .830. So what’s next? Adjustments up the yang that give you 24 clubs in 1, and what a beautiful idea it is! This bad boy covers a broad range of golfers who all have different swings and needs. More so I think it caters to the current market, less clubs/more options. What I mean is it keeps the manufacturer’s costs down by releasing one multi-versatile version, keeps the retailer’s inventory levels comfortable by not forcing them to purchase a huge assortment of options to ensure they have what the consumer wants on-hand and fulfills the needs of the majority golfers from a 0-30+ handicap. From a slice to a draw, even from a low ball flight to one that’s high. I just wish they’d hurry up and get this R9 out so we can see if all this hype, which I take partial blame for, is truly justified. My vote it yes!
My wife is considering taking up the game of golf. She is a beginner and I am wondering if the Callaway GEM series is recommened by other ladie golfer? Please give me an opinion. I play about three-four times a month and certainly not an expert on womans clubs.
I guess I’m just to much of a pureist to get the concept of an adjustable driver or fairway wood. I’ve hit several of these clubs(and am a die hard Taylormade fan) but feel like I give up to much of my ability to work the ball right-to-left and vice versa witht hese clubs.
BTW, you all have a great service, I really like the free shiiping and no tax.
