We have all done it. If we haven’t, we have violated the rules of golf. I am not going to penalize you if you choose not to take the walk in a non-tournament round, don’t worry. This week we watched the world’s best golfer make the walk. I will bet that you have relished in one of your buddies or opponent making the walk, but there is one walk that is VERY different from others.

In the vein of hot and sexy golf clubs, I figured it was time to roll out the red carpet and call up Joan and Melissa Rivers to meticulously judge the gowns and hair styles of the nominees. Just kidding, but I have poured over what I think are the best looking drivers of all time and have come up with the following list, in order.
And the winners are…

Stick around long enough and you will hear me, as some point, blast Phil Mickelson. Why? I have never met him. I have never even met anyone who has met him. Why my distaste for a man I don’t even know? Why would I choose to dislike any player I watch on TV?

Even though the golf season is well under way, it really never feels like it has begun until Tiger plays his first tournament. I am sure that the winners do not feel that way, but I do not think I am alone in feeling like there is just something missing until he is in the field.
This year was like no other, though. With a knee injury shutting him down last year and surgery causing him to rehabilitate in the offseason, I was skeptical if we would see him before the Masters. Throw in a new son in his family and I was certain that we were a month from his first start, at least.
Imagine my surprise and jubilation when I was proven wrong.

Hot and sexy looking pt. 3
“This driver is so closed it looks like I might hit my left foot with the ball when I hit it.” How many times have I said or heard this one?
Clubs are designed for specific players and specific deficiencies. A golfer who typically slices the ball would NOT want to go out and play a club designed for a golfer who typically fades the ball. At the same time, those clubs look completely different when compared side by side. Read more…

Hot and sexy looking pt. 2
I was working at a store front in Las Vegas with a guy named Joey. Joey was a great guy. Tall as a building and funny as a stand up comedian, Joey was the one that introduced me to the “sexy” golf club. He was a classic let me tell you. A very good golfer, as well as a good guy. Joey pretty much put into words that which I already knew but couldn’t pinpoint. Golfers, and humans, gravitated toward what they felt “looked good.” Read more…

Before you get the wrong impression this IS golf related……read on at your own risk.
Have you ever been sitting in a bar or at a restaurant and had “that” moment. That moment where your buddy or your colleague or, worst of all, your wife, catches your eyes “wandering” a bit? Have you ever had that conversation where you comment on how hot and sexy that object of your distraction looks? Have you ever had your companion for that drink or dinner differ with you in your opinion of this temptress? Read more…

We thought every limit the USGA implemented had been maxed out, but did it? The head can’t be any bigger than 460cc’s, the COR can’t exceed .830. So what’s next? Adjustments up the yang that give you 24 clubs in 1, and what a beautiful idea it is! This bad boy covers a broad range of golfers who all have different swings and needs. More so I think it caters to the current market, less clubs/more options. Read more…

I am a fader of the golf ball. It is just the way that “The fat kid” works. I have no desire to change. I like the control I get with a power fade, and I rarely lose a ball so far right that I can’t scream at it in mid air to try to turn it back ha ha.
So imagine my surprise last week when I hit a ball out of bounds……….LEFT!

The golf season is in full swing now. We have a couple of champions under our belt and so it is with great regret that I get to my 2009 predictions a tad late.
I would have been dead wrong right out of the gate as I would have picked an Australian (most likely Stuart Appleby) to have won by now.
So without further build up….AWAY WE GO……….
